The Big Picture travels far; from first contact between Māori and European settlers, the Kiwi cultural cringe, and the impact of modernism, to the rise of a distinct, bicultural artistic voice. Directed by Paul Swadel, the show won awards for Best Factual Series and Music at the 2008 Qantas Film and TV Awards. Hamish Keith was nominated for Best Presenter.
