The Secret Lives of Dancers

The Secret Lives of Dancers ventures into the rehearsal studios, hotel rooms and homes of the Royal NZ Ballet company to explore life as a professional dancer. Over three seasons the show captures the unrelenting physical demands of performing, and the work the production team puts into each tour. Dancers must manage the threat of career ending injuries, plus the intensity of working so closely with other performers. The series won Best Observational Documentary Series at the 2011 Aotearoa TV and Film Awards.
