Bonnie Soper

Self-described "Southern girl" Bonnie Soper found success early in her screen career. In 2009 she was named Best Supporting Actress at the Qantas Film and Television Awards, after playing a young blind woman in indie film The Map Reader. The same year, Soper appeared on Shortland Street as geeky surrogate mother Morgan Tippett. In 2016 she landed a regular role on high gloss drama Filthy Rich, playing the rich, wild, "kind of crazy" Annabelle. After moving to Los Angeles, Soper landed the role of Princess Diana in cable TV movie Harry & Meghan: A Royal Romance. She also played Diana in the two telemovies that followed. ...Bonnie Soper, as Michael's beautiful and blind neighbour is [director Harold] Brodie's hand grenade. And she blows the roof off this film in every scene she gets. Writer Graeme Tuckett in a Dominion Post review of The Map Reader, 21 August 2009
