Kiwi Charlotte Evans started her filmmaking career in London in 2007, learning about editing from British veteran Rick Waller. After returning to New Zealand in 2010, the Canterbury University graduate worked as both a director and an editor  including helming music videos for the likes of Benee, Marlon Williams,  Aldous Harding and Kimbra. In 2018 Evans led a team of female filmmakers on award-winning interactive project Give Kate A Voice, which commemorated 125 years of women’s suffrage in Aotearoa. She is now working on a feature documentary about Green MP Chlöe Swarbrick. Evans moved to Australia in mid 2024.
