Dave Cameron has been capturing New Zealand images and stories for over 25 years. He began his career as a rookie camera operator on a documentary for Zee Films. This led to work filming iconic TV series Shortland Street. Since then Cameron has become an award-winning freelance cinematographer, with numerous accolades, including competing against himself at the 2021 NZ Television Awards — and winning.

Biography

Dave Cameron began to explore his creative talents while at St Peter's College in Auckland. "I did a bit of art and photography," he says. "School was traditional, but laced with artistic stuff. I was inspired by the creative subjects  I decided I wanted to follow that, and chase that dream."
