Reporter Garth Bray’s education encompasses Kaitaia College, AUT, DJing on far north station Te Hiku 97.1 FM, and newsreading on Auckland’s 95bFM. Describing himself as "a lifer" at Television New Zealand, Bray has been with TVNZ since 1997. On screen, the self-confessed "politics tragic" has covered multiple elections for One News, served as a TVNZ correspondent in Australia and Europe, and was nominated for a Qantas TV Award for a 2005 Sunday report. In 2014 he joined the team on the long-running consumer affairs series Fair Go, as an investigative journalist. He remained a fixture of the series until it's cancellation in early 2024.
