Since first winning infamy as lead singer of 60s blues band The Underdogs, Murray Grindlay has applied his musical talents composing for movies and television (Once Were Warriors, Greenstone), producing (hit single 'Sailing Away', Goldenhorse album Out of the Moon) and as a prolific and versatile writer of advertising jingles (the classic 'Have a Crunchie' train robbery commercial, Travellin' On).

Biography

Murray Grindlay grew up in the Scottish town of Stenhousemuir, then relocated to Auckland at age 13. He joined blues group the Soul Agents soon after leaving high school, then won fame as lead singer of legendary r'n'b band The Underdogs.
