Tammy Davis began in the lighting department, got his acting break on Once Were Warriors sequel What Becomes of the Broken Hearted?, and won fame thanks to hit TV show Outrageous Fortune. His portrayal of gormless handyman Munter won him a Qantas TV Award, and even a 'Munter is Choice' fan club. The Raetihi-based actor has also co-starred in movie Black Sheep and TV comedy Sunny Skies. In 2011 he made his directing debut, with award-winning short Ebony Society. It played at the Sundance and Berlin film festivals. In 2015 he directed hit dance movie Born to Dance. Davis is also a breakfast DJ on station George FM.
