Sticky TV was a staple of early 2000s children's television in Aotearoa: an eclectic show that stitched together numerous fun segments, including 60 episodes of Animation Station. Each instalment lasted seven minutes, comprised of animated skits made by young animators — a thrilling opportunity for aspiring filmmakers! The clips were introduced by a hip claymation character called Dando, and ended with a call-out for viewers to send in their work. Screening in slots after 4pm, the segment ran in 2002 and 2003, showcasing a mix of 2D, 3D and stop-motion animation from across the country.
