Brown Eye

Television, 2015

Mixing comedy and current affairs, Brown Eye offered a Māori perspective on topics impacting New Zealand. Mixing commentary and interviews both light-hearted and serious, the show promised to be "unadulterated, opinionated and most importantly entertaining". Nathan Rarere (Ice TV) was presenter, alongside a writing/presenting team that included Dangerous Bro comedians Jamaine "bring the pain" Ross and Pax Assadi, Taika Waititi, and Jessica Hansell. Made by Bailey Mackey's Pango Productions, Brown Eye ran for one season in 2015, screening in the same Friday night slot as 7 Days.
