Families: Good for Life

Television, 1995

Families: Good for Life was a magazine style series about the "joys and challenges" of parenting and family life. Presenter (and mum) Hine Elder introduces a range of common parenting predicaments, and alongside reporters Julie Colquhoun and Greg Ward, talks to ordinary parents, doctors, behavioural psychologists and experts about raising healthy families. The series promotes Kiwi-born author Dr Matt Sander's 'Triple P' parenting philosophy, and famous Kiwis like actor Robbie Magasiva talk about their family dynamics. Newsreader Neil Waka also updates viewers on his journey as a Dad to young son Ezrom.
