Friday Night Bites

Flat3 actors Ally Xue, JJ Fong and Perlina Lau continued their collaboration with director Roseanne Liang on this multi-award-nominated web series. Loosely spinning off the Friday night antics of three Asian-Kiwi flatmates in Auckland, the show mined laughs across many genres. The bite-sized episodes (mostly less than seven minutes) riffed on dating, flatting, race, movies and quantum physics. They featured rap battles, musical numbers and appearances by an impressive list of actors and comedians— from Kura Forrester to Baby Mama's Club and Viva La Dirt League. Season one had 26 episodes; another 15 episodes followed.
