One Man's View

Television, 1975

In this documentary series, reporter and presenter Hanafi Hayes roams the back roads and small towns of New Zealand to meet some of the country’s unique characters. From isolated bush dwellers to elderly skiers to competitive tap dancers, Hayes' unorthodox interviewees' remarkable daily lives are captured across six diverse episodes. Several of the stories were later featured in Hayes’ 1981 book Hayes Over New Zealand. Produced for TV2, One Man’s View was awarded the 1976 Feltex Television Award for Best Series.
