Riding High

Television, 1995

This teen drama follows Wendy (Marama Jackson), a young showjumper whose parents run a riding school. The 65-episode series provided early roles (many of them romantic) to a host of Kiwi talent  including Shortland Streeters Kieren Hutchison and Kelson Henderson, Debbie Newby-Ward (Nothing Trivial) and Tyler Jane (Outrageous Fortune). The South Pacific Pictures show was inspired by comic strip Wendy, and was titled Wendy in some countries. It is one of several Kiwi TV dramas about teenage girls and their horses.
