Six60 are the most commercially successful band in New Zealand history, incorporating reggae, soul and drum and bass influences into a wildly popular pop-rock sound. Formed in Dunedin in 2006, they named themselves after the flat where three members lived; 660 on the iconic Castle Street. Their first three albums (all named Six60) went platinum many times, and were followed by the certified gold Castle St, live album Grass Roots and compilation The Six60 Collection. They are the subject of a documentary film Six60: Till the Lights Go Out. Some of their most famous songs include 'Rise Up 2.0', 'Don't Forget Your Roots' and 'Special'.
