So This Happened

Web, 2017

Chatting with colleagues in a kitchen at TVNZ, So This Happened creators Lucy Zee and Maha Albadrawi realised that women's experiences of verbal and sexual harassment were extremely common, and that their stories needed to be told. Bought to life by a largely female and non-binary team, each two to three minute episode recounts an unsavoury situation, narrated by the affected individuals themselves. Different animators bring unique styles and interpretations to each story. Sixteen episodes of the "palatable, accessible and shareable" web series were released on TVNZ On Demand, Facebook and YouTube.
