Broadcaster Ray Harris presents this instalment of Jazz Seen featuring Christchurch-born vocalist Malcolm McNeill at the Ngaio Marsh Theatre. McNeill starts with Disney Girls, written by Beach Boy Bruce Johnston. Songs are interspersed with McNeill's takes on songwriting. Accompanying McNeill are musicians Doug Caldwell, Paul Dyne, John Densem, Ian Edwards and Keith Petch. Things start to swing with the bossa nova flavoured Melissa and The Gentle Rain, and Frank Sinatra gets a nod with I Get a Kick Out of You. McNeill closes with jazz standard 'Round Midnight.
