Sponsored by international airline Cathay Pacific, this late 1990s travel show sent famous Kiwis to some of the world's most popular tourist destinations. Each episode, host Nick Eynon was joined by a different New Zealand celebrity who helped him tick off all the major attractions — such as meeting television personality Kerre Woodham in London, or comedy duo The Topp Twins in Paris. Cathay Pacific Destination Planet Earth ran for two seasons from 1997, with 20 episodes produced in total. Eynon would go on to write his own travel book, Destination Anywhere (1998).
