Web series Living by the Stars gazes up into Aotearoa’s night skies, exploring the stars from a Mātauranga Māori point of view. Presented in Te Reo Māori by pioneering Māori astronomer and academic, Professor Rangi Matamua, this first series explores the cultural and celestial insights behind the Matariki star cluster and beyond. Each episode in this 20-part series is a bite-sized instalment of traditional Māori astronomy to paint our view of the night skies in a new light. The series was awarded a Broadcast and Media Award at the 2019 Māori Language Awards (Ngā Tohu Reo Māori). Read the full episode guide here.
