About
This episode of documentary series Open Door series aims to dispel some of the myths about palliative care and Hospice; the main one being that Hospice is just a "building" where people go to die. Rather, Hospice is an organisation that supports people – mostly in their own homes – to have the best possible life in the limited time they have, with a holistice philosophy of care that caters for people of all ages and cultures. Auckland based palliative care specialists and nurses discuss their roles and three terminally ill patients share how Hospice care has enhanced their wellbeing and prepared them for their end.
