American-born Brough Johnson cut her teeth editing news reports down under. After editing 2007 documentary Children of a Nation, Johnson began building a diverse slate of Kiwi credits, both factual (Both Worlds, In the Zone) and fictional. Her drama CV includes episodes of prime time hits (Westside, Go Girls) and short films. Johnson is also the co-founder of website Narrative Muse, which aims to match audiences with a diverse range of screen and written content. In late 2021 Brough was in the headlines after the website won a $500,000 grant from a government cultural innovation fund, aimed at improving Kiwi access to books.
