Ari Boyland

Actor

Ari Boyland got his screen break at age 11 with the hit sci-fi television series The Tribe. Since then the globetrotting actor has worked on television shows Go Girls and Power Rangers, and did a year on Shortland Street playing immature medical student Brodie Kemp. During six years living in Los Angeles he co-starred in award-winning horror movie Blood Punch, acting alongside many fellow Kiwis from his days on Power Rangers. He was nominated for Best Supporting Actor at New Jersey's Hoboken Film Festival. Boyland has worked in television on both sides of the Tasman; his Kiwi roles include feature Poppy and TV series Testify.

This is what I love so much about acting anyway: it's just the opportunity to express and live these existences that are not our own, that are in service of story and character, and not have to deal with the consequences of bad choices. It's so freeing. Ari Boyland in an interview with screenwriter Raymond Thompson, The Tribe website, 2020
