Christina Asher worked as an actor, dancer and choreographer, before adding casting to her kete. She followed an early guest part on sitcom Gliding On with her biggest TV role, 1980s drama Open House; she played dutiful daughter Shirley Ryan. Her other acting credits include Marching Girls, Outrageous Fortune and an episode of anthology series Beyond the Veil.  Asher has choreographed a number of adverts, most notably a 1987 'We're In The Money' showgirl special for Lotto. Her first casting credit was Barry Barclay movie Te Rua. Many more have followed, including hit comedy Sione's Wedding, Muru, Whina and TV's The Gone.
