Jamie McCaskill

A multi-talented fixture of stage and screen, Jamie McCaskill grew up in Thames, and was inspired by his musical father to study theatre at Palmerston North’s UCOL. Now based in Wellington, McCaskill formed the musical comedy group the Māori Sidesteps in 2016 and is a writer, performer and producer of their live shows, web series and 2021 television series. His varied slate also includes screenwriting (Warren’s Vortex, Colonial Combat), acting (Shortland Street, After the Party), and singing with the Modern Māori Quartet.
