Still reeling from a public dog show loss in 1976, sheep farmer Jack (Graham McTavish) joins forces with his granddaughter Lucy (Unaiki Stephens-Jones) in a fight to keep what's theirs. With financial pressure and the looming threat of an enemy neighbour (David Wenham) looking to buy their land, the duo must defeat a rogue sheep named Delores in order to take home the top prize in the dog trials. This tale of a Kiwi underdog fighting the big guys, filmed on working farms across the Wairarapa and Wellington regions, is inspired by the legendary TV series A Dog's Show, which ran from 1977 to 1992.
