Jess Charlton's cinematography ranges across drama and documentary. She was behind the camera on feature docos Loimata - The Sweetest Tears and A Boy Called Piano. Born in London and raised in the deep south of Aotearoa, Charlton has shot over a dozen short films, including Raids, Ministry of Jingle and coming of age tale Tama. She was one of the key creatives behind dystopian feature Existence, and shared two NZ Writers Guild awards for co-writing the script. Charlton also shot operatic drama The Strangest of Angels, TV series Little Apocalypse and a trio of web series with creative collective The Candle Wasters.
