Born and bred Aucklander Jodie Rimmer has been acting since she was a child — she got her start in 1990s horse dramas Rogue Stallion and The New Adventures of Black Beauty. Since then her screen resume has displayed her versatility: from starring as a sex worker in her light-hearted debut feature I’ll Make You Happy, to playing real-life journalist Donna Chisholm (Until Proven Innocent), a drug smuggler (Shortland Street), a hard-partying lawyer (The Strip), and an award-winning turn as ex-flame to the main character in In My Father’s Den. In the 2020s Rimmer was seen in Netflix series Sweet Tooth, and Kiwi comedy Nude Tuesday.
