Director and former comic Nathan Price studied quantum physics, before graduating with a Broadcasting Communications degree from the NZ Broadcasting School. He began in animation and special effects in 1997, and was soon leading CGI/post-production company Oktobor. In 2001 he left to concentrate on directing. Among his award-winning adverts and shows are episodes of The Insiders Guide to Love and flatmate drama The Hothouse — he won Directing Awards for both. In 2023, Price directed feature documentary The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F*ck, adapted from the bestselling self-help book by American Mark Manson.
