Paul Glover has played his share of hard Kiwi men, tough cops, and people you'd be wise to avoid after dark. He gave a memorable performance as a psychotic prison guard in The Ugly (1997), and was an enigmatic farmer in horror movie The Locals. In 2001, Glover was nominated for an NZ Film Award for his role as one of the skinheads in Melanie Lynskey road movie Snakeskin, and he was nominated again in 2005 for ensemble film Fracture. Later there were ongoing roles on Trans-Tasman hit 800 Words and comedy Educators. After a shift into selling real estate, Glover began co-hosting Location Location Location and Love It Or List It NZ.

“I’m sort of having a bit of a 'pinch me' moment in terms of a career choice and all that sort of stuff, because I’ve ended up being in front of a TV show that I’ve watched the last 20 years and loved.”
