After appearing briefly in The Piano at age three, Rose McIver went on to star in big budget fantasy series Maddigan’s Quest while still a teen. Since then she has played one of the passengers in true life train disaster tale Tangiwai - A Love Story, and starred as a crime-solving zombie across five seasons of American series iZombie. She went on to co-star in Kiwi movie musical Daffodils and acclaimed US sitcom Ghosts.

Biography

Alongside Anna Paquin and Martin Henderson, Rose McIver is part of a small troupe of New Zealanders who began acting early, then kept at it. For McIver acting was just part of growing up."Some kids played hockey in their school holidays and I just worked. Acting was always more of a hobby than a serious pursuit."
