Tom Miskin began his creative career as a keyboardist for The Chills, before retraining as a sound engineer for film and television. His work as a sound mixer appears on a long list of hit TV dramas and feature films — including Outrageous Fortune, Go GirlsBellbird and documentaries My Year with Helen and McLaren. Miskin has been nominated for several awards for his sound work on projects, including Hillary and One Lane Bridge.

Biography

Sound mixer Tom Miskin’s measure of success has always been to "disappear" into the production. "With sound, my job is to say 'what’s the most I can do here, what’s the least, and how does that enhance or strengthen the client's vision?'"
