Funny As: The Story of New Zealand Comedy (series promo)

As this promotional clip makes clear, Funny As features an impressive roll call of Kiwi comedy legends. The five-part series traces the history of New Zealand comedy through interviews and archive footage. One hundred extended interviews with the comedy talent captured for the series can be watched here. Funny As ranges all the way from the early days of live comedy to screen pioneers (Fred Dagg, the Week of It team), the legendary Billy T, and the Kiwi comedians who've made their mark internationally (Flight of the Conchords, Rhys Darby).
It's one of the biggest, most complex projects I've ever done. In almost 30 years in TV, this has been the biggest by far. We're editing it right now and it still makes me laugh so that's a good sign.– Funny As producer Paul Horan in TV Guide, 11 July 2019
