Good Day – The Judith Fyfe Celebrity Pot Roast Show

Television (Full Length) – 1979

The one-liners fly thick and fast in this celebrity 'pot roast' of reporter and presenter Judith Fyfe. The team at magazine show Good Day hand the reins to a group of Fyfe's TV colleagues and 'intimates' — including compère Michael McDonald, Fair Go presenter Brian Edwards, columnist Rosemary McLeod and actor Davina Whitehouse. They cheerfully bag Fyfe on all fronts, and even take aim at recent TVNZ budget cuts. Wearing her signature loud glasses, Fyfe laughs along. This roast became famous for another reason; it marked the TV debut of Ginette McDonald's iconic 'suburban chick' character Lynn of Tawa.

Now you know matinee idols come and they go, and as a matter of fact this place is littered with the burnt out wrecks of old careers. In fact a few of them are around me now...
