Based on the America's Next Top Model franchise created by model Tyra Banks, reality competition show New Zealand's Next Top Model ran for three seasons between 2009 and 2011, on TV3. Each season, 13 young women from across Aotearoa competed for a modelling contract and various brand deals, via a series of photoshoots, campaigns and runway shows. Presenter Sara Tetro — a successful New Zealand model who established her own modelling agency — was joined by photographer Chris Sisarich and model Colin Mathura-Jeffree in judging and mentoring the (largely inexperienced) models.
