About
In the early-noughties tradition of Aotearoa taking on American television franchises, New Zealand's Next Top Model launched in 2009. Fronted by model-turned-agency-head Sara Tetro, she was flanked by two other regular judges/hosts; model Colin Mathura-Jeffree and photographer Chris Sisarich. 13 women were recruited from across the country, to compete for a prize package including a modelling contract and brand deals. With most of the girls in their teens, and very little modelling experience between them, they are truly thrown into the deep end with major photoshoots, advertising campaigns and runway shows. It's an emotional ride! Season one included 13 episodes at 45 minutes each; episode guide here.
