Telly Laughs

Television, 1996–1998

Sketch show Telly Laughs mined laughter from celebrities, adverts and movies. Hosted by stand-up comedian Raybon Kan, the fast-paced series provided early TV opportunities for a range of talent, including Jemaine Clement, Cal Wilson, Dave Fane, Oscar Kightley, Mike Sengelow and singer Jackie Clarke. Many of the cast and crew also worked on Skitz, an earlier Gibson Group comedy show. Telly Laughs screened for two seasons. It won named Best Entertainment Programme at the 1997 TV Guide Television Awards.
