The Project

Television, 2017–ongoing

The Kiwi version of The Project debuted on Three on 20 February 2017. The panel programme is a mix of news bulletins, current affairs and entertainment; the hosts interview newsmakers of the day and trade quips with a changing roster of guest panellists. Three purchased the format from Australian company Roving Productions, owned by media personality Rove McManus. In 2018 original hosts Jesse Mulligan and Kanoa Lloyd were joined by comedian Jeremy Corbett (7 Days). The long list of guest panellists includes comedians Josh Thomson, Ben Hurley and Jaquie Brown, and even politicians like Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern.
