Goldenhorse with the New Zealand Symphony Orchestra
2005 47m Television
- Music
In February of 2005, Goldenhorse brought their successful brand of grown-up folk-pop to Wellington’s Michael Fowler Centre for this special one-off performance with the NZSO. At the time of this concert, Goldenhorse were about to release their sophomore album Out of the Moon, and their debut Riverhead had eventually reached the number one spot in 2004 having spent the best part of two years on the NZ album charts. With a setlist including the likes of 'Maybe Tomorrow', 'Northern Lights' and 'Golden Dawn', this collaboration showcases the band’s songwriting strength, singer Kirsten Morrell’s vocal abilities, and the classical leanings already in the DNA of Goldenhorse’s studio recordings.
