It’s more important than ever for the Hutton family to get a roof over their heads as strong winds threaten their canvas tent in this episode of Colonial House. Three weeks into living like new settlers to 1852 New Zealand, dad Ross races to finish the family’s V-hut, while mum Dorothy juggles cooking, childcare and the household budget. Even the boys must do their part, chopping firewood and finding ways to entertain themselves without their usual screens. With the hut finally taking shape, the Huttons are eager to move in, only to discover that their new home may not be quite as weatherproof as they had hoped.
