Samoan family act The Three Ts kick off proceedings with a cover of Pointer Sisters hit 'I'm So Excited'; Derek Metzger covers a Police song, and a young Kim Willoughby gets hands in the air with Eurythmics hit 'Right By Your Side'. Stevens introduces a dance routine by "the ladies from Limbs", while chart toppers the Pātea Māori Club add breakdancers into action song 'Taukura'. Rhonda Bryers, 1984 NZ Entertainer of the Year,  shows her star power with three numbers.
