Kiri and Lou

In this prehistoric preschoolers' show, dinosaurs — and best friends — Kiri (Olivia Tennet) and Lou (Jemaine Clement) live, play and learn in the forest with their friends. Harking back to traditional animation techniques, the bite-sized episodes showcase claymation and paper backdrops for a tactile aesthetic; complete with fingermarks on the clay! Director Harry Sinclair composes the show’s original songs with his musical partner Don McGlashan, under their moniker The Front Lawn. The multi-award winning show ran for four series between 2019-2024 on TVNZ, with a feature film set for release in mid-2026. A New Zealand-Canada co-production, Kiri and Lou screens around the world.
