Sound specialist Chris Sinclair began his career in the music industry, before building a prolific screen slate in sound mixing and design. Raised in Christchurch, Sinclair moved to Auckland to study at the School of Audio Engineering. He went on to work as an engineer at iconic studio The Lab, and managed the recording operations for independent label Deepgrooves. After cutting his teeth on screen work in New Zealand in the late 1990s, he worked in the UK where he became well established in his field. Returning to Christchurch in 2010, he has worked on such major productions as The Luminaries, White Lies and Muru.
