Vincent Burke was a television producer for roughly three decades. After launching company Top Shelf Productions in 1988, he went on to work on a run of documentaries and non-fiction programming. His CV included An Immigrant Nation, high profile history series Frontier of DreamsCinema of Unease (which charted Kiwi movie history), and long-running consumer show Target. Burke passed away in February 2022.

Biography

Vincent Burke launched company Top Shelf Productions in 1988 (fellow Top Shelf company director Laurie Clarke began contributing to the operation in 2002). Burke's resume as a producer included more than 600 hours of non-fiction programming: from long-running consumer shows Target and What's Really in Our Food?, to media analysis show Media Take, (formerly Media7), and many one-off documentaries.
