Wellington photographer and publisher Grant Sheehan has captured the lonely beauty of New Zealand lighthouses, landscapes and seascapes, as well as images inspired by the imagined dream life of AI (Artifical Intelligence). In this trailer for Robin Greenberg's documentary, Sheehan reflects on his career and the hundreds of hours he's spent in the dark on outdoor shoots "waiting for the light, waiting for things to happen". He also comments on his AI-inspired body of work, linking the images to his earliest experiments with abstract art. The film's trio of composers is led by Sheehan's son Rhian.
