Deep Blue plunges into a Pacific Ocean adventure, following a team of intrepid explorers sailing through remote seas, coastlines and coral reefs. Presented by American filmmaker Mike deGruy, the 13-part natural history series charts a 10-month voyage aboard the yacht Evohe. Joining deGruy are fellow filmmaker Peta Carey, musician Ole Maiava and a crew of experts. They journey from New Zealand and its subantarctic islands, to Australia, and the far-flung tropical Pacific. Along the way, the crew spends countless hours underwater, scuba diving with remarkable marine life while uncovering the region’s geological history and rich cultural traditions.
