...this short by Roseanne Liang blew me out of the water. It’s utterly fantastic. Violent, action-packed, beautiful and emotional, it easily takes its place alongside the best things I’ve seen this year. Roseanne is a huge talent and should be making a lot of movies as soon as possible.
– Bridesmaids director Paul Feig on Do No Harm being one of his favourite films of 2017, Indiewire website, 29 December 2017
How about you all take a break yeah — have a cup of tea, whatever, and we'll be right out.
– Thug One (Jacob Tomuri) after entering the operating theatre
He is my patient.
– The doctor (Marsha Yuan)
Do No Harm explores the first corruption of a woman’s moral code ... The film was inspired by my own complicated relationship with theoretical violence. Since motherhood, I’ve become more aware of my own murderous potential. I harbour dark thoughts, wonder about the lengths to which I would go to protect my children. My desire to make action films is a catharsis of these undignified, visceral emotions.
