Face to Face with Kim Hill

Television, 2003–2005

In 2003 Radio New Zealand host Kim Hill went on television. The format was a 25 minute one-on-one interview with a politician or public figure. The plan was to allow "the time to really discuss an issue", and get "more context and more enlightenment". Interviewees included ex Prime Minister David Lange, Destiny Church chief Brian Tamaki, comedian John Clarke, authors Michael King and Germaine Greer, and Australian journalist John Pilger (with whom Hill had a memorable stoush). Face to Face aired for three seasons.
