Shortland Street - Scotty and Shanti's wedding

Television (Excerpts) – 2008

It's day three in the build-up to the Indian wedding of Scotty (Kiel McNaughton) and Shanti (Nisha Madhan), and the guests are arriving for the ceremony. Libby (Fleur Saville) is in trouble for wearing black and the guests are taken aback by Scotty’s veil. The 'model marriage' of Shanti's parents has hit the rocks, and they can’t stop bickering — not even at their daughter’s wedding. Meanwhile playboy Kip Denton (Will Hall) is feeling very uncomfortable upon realising his night of romance with Shanti’s sister Dipali (Rasmi Pilapitiya) was her first time. Not only has he jeopardised the wedding, but now she’s keen!

I realise today is all about my culture. We should have made more space for yours. I’m sorry, I didn’t think.
