Tiki Taane spent 11 years with the deep trench rhythms of Salmonella Dub, before going it alone in 2007. His debut album Past, Present and Future went double platinum, with a blend of traditional Māori instrumentation and a contemporary sound he described as "punk-dub meets tangatawhenua". Known for his fusion of reggae, electronic, and acoustic sounds, Taane has released a run of acclaimed albums, including Flux (2009), In the World of Light (2011) and With Strings Attached (2013). He also did a live album with the Christchurch Symphony Orchestra, Tiki Taane in Session With The CSO.
