Cops and Robbers

Bankrupt, estranged from his wife and saddled with a warehouse full of unwanted parrots, John (Grant Dodwell) decides to end it all. But when his suicide attempt is interrupted by a bumbling criminal (Mark Wright) and a not very bright police officer (Rima Te Wiata), John soon finds himself on the wrong side of the law. With nothing left to lose, a search for condoms lands him in the middle of a bank robbery, setting off a string of absurd misadventures. Directed by Murray Reece, this offbeat New Zealand/Australian dark comedy was also released as Kevin Rampenbacker and the Electric Kettle.
